Job Summary: Communications and Development Coordinator
Keystone Progress Education Fund (501c3) and Keystone Progress (501c4) are independent, nonpartisan non-profits that works to activate, educate, inspire, organize, and unite activists in Pennsylvania around progressive policies, ideas and candidates. Our mission is to help people build power in their own communities to hold those in power accountable.
The Digital Communications Coordinator will play a vital role in executing KPEF/KP’s digital strategy across multiple platforms. This position will be responsible for creating and delivering content on various digital channels, including email, social media, and digital marketing platforms. The Digital Communications Coordinator works under the supervision of the Executive Director.
What You’ll be Doing:
Responsibilities of the Digital Communications Coordinator include but are not limited to:
Implement strategic digital engagement and social media marketing programs across all digital channels.
Manage our social media profiles, ensuring best practices across platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Bluesky, and YouTube.
Stay updated on social media trends and provide proactive ideas
Develop and execute organic content for social media, ensuring geotags, captions, alt-text, and hashtags are on point.
Work collaboratively to establish a unique voice and identity for KPEF/KP on social media, aligning with strategic priorities and enhancing our brand identity.
Managing our website and keeping it up-to-date
Managing our email list and sending weekly updates
Other work as identified with the Executive Director.
Minimum Requirements and Competencies:
A demonstrated commitment to racial justice and equity.
Experience in developing and supporting organizational social media campaigns.
Creative thinking to engage new audiences.
Proficiency in graphics, design, and video software.
Strong writing skills and the ability to convey complex ideas concisely for social media.
Attention to detail with a track record of meeting deadlines.
Familiarity with Squarespace
Familiarity with Action Network
Would be helpful:
Some knowledge of HTML

Development Coordinator

The Development Coordinator will play a vital role in helping the Executive Director and board in executing KPEF/KP’s fundraising plans and ensuring the success of our fundraising campaigns.They will support our efforts by helping with great writing and reporting, helping with individual donor work, and assisting with coordinating events.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the Executive Director with identifying grant opportunities
Assisting the Executive Director with the preparation of grant applications and other fundraising proposals.
Researching and developing an individual donor program
Manage donor data, gifts and pledges, and other records in an accurate, timely, and secure manner
Ensure donor acknowledgements and other correspondence are sent in a timely manner
Prepare and deliver donor reports, presentations, and other materials as required
Coordinate and manage the organization's online presence and social media campaigns for development purposes
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years experience in a development or fundraising role
Proven track record in creating and managing successful fundraising campaigns
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Would be helpful:
Knowledge of Western PA grantees
Funders, both state and national, that particularly like to fund democracy work or narrative/storytelling work
